Spotlight: The Magic of I

The start of a new year calls for a new planner. Founded by an Australian artist and designer, The Magic of I brings you everything you want in a planner, and more. They're beautifully designed and illustrated, vegan, and have green credentials too.

Even if Covid restrictions mean our social calendar will be filled with Zoom catch-ups rather than parties, The Magic of I planners are packed with useful and interesting astrological information on the moon cycles, planetary movements and retrogrades (so you'll be well prepared for the next Mercury retrograde). They feature a section on personal goals and intentions, a menstrual cycle guide, a moon planting guide, a personal birth chart section, a Decan tarot wheel, and botanical illustrations. So much more than just a yearly planner!

Using buttery vegan leathers and vegan glues, the journals also make use of 100% recycled materials—all of their papers are sourced from FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) certified sustainable timbers. The usual packaging materials of plastic tapes, shrink wraps and inserts have been replaced with more sustainable and plant-based alternatives, and even shipping materials are post-consumer, recycled padded bags or boxes.

Printed in Europe using highly skilled artisans, the planners and journals come in seven different colours. The company is a member of 1% for the Planet, donating 1% of their profits to numerous environmental non-profits like The Nature Conservancy and Rainforest Rescue.

The perfect gift for astrology buffs, anyone seeking a deeper understanding and connection to the moon and natural cycles, or those who just want to welcome the new year with a beautiful, cruelty-free gift to themselves.
